About This Event: The Dublin Music Festival is a Girl Scout Gold Award
This is Sasha Wirchniansky. I'm a Junior on the Color Guard team.
Over the past few months I have been putting together a Girl Scout Gold Award project to benefit the Dublin Unified School District Music Programs.
What's a Gold Award? A Gold Award is the highest award you can earn in Girl Scouts. A Gold Award Project should be something that answers a need, benefits the community and lives on.
Due to recent news of potential music budget cuts and a general decrease in participation in music programs since the pandemic, I believe that hosting a community music festival at Dublin High School has the potential to inspire more kids in our community to consider joining music and color guard programs. With the support of Mr Polot, Mr Tran and Mr Bertelson, we have created the Dublin Music Festival which will happen at DHS on Sat, April 13th.
