Winter guard is an optional, extracurricular competitive program designed to teach and hone color guard skills during the second semester. Winter guard is ideal for fall color guard members who want to maintain their color guard abilities after fall marching band season, and for anyone who wants to become stronger performers through color guard. The Winter guard ensemble performs on a large mat called a floor, printed or painted with a unique design. The members wear unique costumes specifically for the winter season.
